How to Properly Take Care of Your Diamond

Protecting your diamond from every day wear and tear is extremely important in maintaining its beauty.

There are many ways a diamond can lose its brilliance. For instance; hand creams, soaps, and everyday dust can cling to a diamond and prevent it from reflecting the light that enters and bounces from facet to facet making it sparkle. To prevent this from happening, you’ll want to make sure you clean it frequently.

One way to properly clean your diamond at home is to soak it briefly in water mixed with liquid detergent, and then use a soft brush, like a toothbrush, to clean all sides of the diamond, including the underside.

Everyday wear can also loosen a diamond in its setting. You can visit our showroom for a complimentary checkup to make sure the prongs holding your diamond in place are tight and in good condition. We will inspect your ring thoroughly, checking the prongs and the mounting, and steam clean your diamond at no cost.
